The Tennessee Department of Education has released each TN schools “grade” on their annual Report Card for 2023. This report card is to provide a snapshot of how each school in TN is doing in meeting the state’s expectations for learning, including student achievement and academic growth measures for all schools, as well as a measure of college and career readiness just for high schools.
“School letter grades will provide Tennessee families with a clear rating system that gives them a snapshot of how their child’s school is performing,” said Lizzette Reynolds, Commissioner of Education. “No matter what your school’s letter grade is, everyone can play a role in supporting the success of our students and the success of our schools by engaging with your local school communities and joining the conversation.”
Below is a list of all Rhea County Schools and what they scored on their state report card.
School | Letter Grade | College Readiness Score |
Dayton City School | B | |
Frazier Elementary School | B
Graysville Elementary School | B
Rhea Central Elementary School | B
Spring City Elementary School | B
Spring City Middle School | C
Rhea County Middle School | C
Rhea County High School | B | 57.9% |
Rhea County Academy | No Data Available |
Several factors determine school letter grades for each school, including student achievement, academic growth, growth of the highest need students, and a measure of college and career readiness just for high schools.
Graysville Elementary, Rhea Central Elementary, and Frazier Elementary were just .2 points of being an A instead of a B. Not one school in our district got a D or an F, which according to the states grading scale, is a really good thing for our County Schools.
This is an annual report that will be available for parents to look up at anytime and see. You can also go to the states website at https://tdepublicschools.ondemand.sas.com/grades and see each schools individual statistics and breakdowns of each grade when it comes to achievement and success.
