Winstead’s American Grill, a family owned restaurant located in Spring City, was named the Spring City Chamber of Commerce’s March Member of the Month.
Winstead’s American Grill started out as “King of Pizza” over 40 years ago. The restaurant used to be across the railroad tracks, take a right on front street, turn left at the depot, and the King of Pizza was on the right behind Hassler’s Pharmacy. The old King of Pizza building is now a church.
“We encourage you to visit Winstead’s American Grill and King of Pizza and have a nice lunch or dinner,” chamber representatives state on their announcement Facebook post.
The Winstead’s family doesn’t just own restaurants, they also have been huge supporters of our community. In fact, Chamber representatives share that Vance Winstead was very instrumental in getting the Miss Spring City Pageant underway and at the Chamber. He also served on the Chamber’s board of directors at one time.Vance passed away in January of this year.
Winstead’s has the Spring City location along with another location in Roane County, TN. They also opened up a restaurant in the British Virgin Islands a few years ago.
Congratulations to Winstead’s American Grill on their achievement of being honored as the Spring City Chamber of Commerce’s Member of the Month.
