Josh Pelfrey was recently diagnosed with Stage IV Grey Zone Lymphoma, a term used to represent cases of malignant lymphoma which cannot be distinctively classified as either Hodgkin’s or non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
Several members of the community have come together and organized a benefit ride to help raise money to ease the financial burden that this unexpected medical emergency will impose on him and his family.
The ride will be on January 20th beginning at noon. The ride will start at Spring City Nature Park and then end in Rockwood. After the ride, Cofer’s Garage will be welcoming participants, and anyone else who wants to join, for craft beer, live music, a food truck, auction items, and a 50/50 drawing.
The organizers advise that they don’t plan on riding on tough terrain so any vehicle is welcome to join in the ride. The donation for the ride will be $50.

Event organizers are still accepting auction items. If you’d like to donate anything that can be auctioned off, you can drop off items at Homestead Motors in Spring City or contact Michelle Ray at 423-883-0196.
